Hello,

I think this is not suppose to be here but,

When you clean your LMT MRP , do you separate each time the barrel from the MRP (monolithic rail platform).

Thank you for any input.

LMT recommends 140 inch pounds on the bolts holding the barrel.

Next time I get to the range I'm going to try different amouts of torque and see what it does to my groupings. Has anyone tryed this?

When I first got it I never thought to check the torque out of the box. I recommend fokes do. I torque them both up the way LMT's manual says frunt one then rear but I repeat it as I tighten one up the other slackens less each time till they are the same at 140.

If you feel more comfortable cleaning it with the barrel removed then go for it. It can't hurt to check the torque with each cleaning.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying there is a defect and they will slaken. Fokes are recommended to re-torque their car wheels every so often. They don't slaken. It's more of a piece of mind then anything. On the MRP it only takes seconds to do.

Just a thought...
