Hi CGN'rs,

I would love to pick your genius reloading minds regarding this subject. I have the Lee 454 Casull die set that I will be using to reload 45LC and 454 Casull. I also have Lee die set in 460 Smith and Wesson Magnum. My question is if I can use the Hornady #46 460 magnum shell plate to do all cartridges.

I have been to several gun stores and asked questions high and low to other hand loaders I know, but no one can give me a definitive answer.

Please help me out!

This is for the Hornady LNL AP press.

I cannot use the shell holder that comes with the die set because the press I am using is the Hornady Lock N Load AP. It is a progressive press that uses a shell plate like above.

Furthermore, today I called Hornady and they said that they have not shipped a #46 shell plate to Canada in over a year! I have called almost every Hornady dealer across Canada and they say they do not have them. And talk about price gouging, they are some guys selling them on Ebay for $188+shipping!!!!.....For a shell plate!!! Really?? They normally sell for $50.

Someone help me please.

Natchezss has them in stock for $37.99US.
Natchezss will ship to Canada but it isn't cheap.
You live in Hamilton which is close to the USA.
There are places on the US side if the border where you can drop ship items and pick them up.
The place I go to near Montreal charges $3.00 per package.
If you really want one you can have one for around $60.00 Canadian.
