Load .30-30 bullets in a .308 Win?

Has anyone published or worked up loads to run 170 grain .30-30 flat nose bullets in a .308 Winchester at .30-30 velocities, say up to 2400 fps or so?

Several loads HERE for 168 grain bullets starting at just over 2400 fps

Just use the starting loads in the reloading manuals for the 308 Winchester. They will be just about what you want.

I have loaded the old 170 gr CIL Sabre Tip bullet in the 308 Win case for a training load for youngsters and new shooters. Amazing thing is, one of them shot a really nice bull moose at around 80 yd.....and the moose keeled over and died!
