Load advice needed. 8mm Mauser, 3031, 200gr Speer

Can't seem to find any 3031 8mm Mauser data in my books, for a 200gr or otherwise.

Anyone able to help?

3031 seems a little fast for the 8mm Mauser & 200gr bullets, no? Unless maybe you;re shooting cast and/or reduced loads

Agreed, but out of 4350, and would like to use try these bullets.

Can I open the floor to any 200GR 8mm loads? May have to go to the store.

Hornady lists 39.9 - 44.7grs of IMR 3031 for their 195gr and 33.4 - 41.3 for the 220gr.

All the rest of the loads seem to be for 175gr and less. Could always use the above as a guide.

I have the Speer 225RN as well. I think I'll try the older Lyman 41-45. This will be used in a K98K and a couple of M48s that should handle a proper load.

I guess a 225 would do the trick on mr bullwinkle. Anyone hunt with these?
