Hi,
I have just acquired a Tikka T3 Varmint in .308.
This rifle will be strictly an informal target tool and my shooting will not normally exceed 500 metres.
I want to do some load development work and I have quantities of Lapua brass, CCI BR2 primers, Varget powder and Sierra 168 grain Matchkings on hand.
My question is: does anyone have this rifle and if so what load works best? I am starting with 168 grain Matchkings for example but do 175 or heavier bullets work better in the 1 in 11 twist barrel on my rifle?
I really need somewhere to start. Any other experiences with this rifle would be appreciated.

I found BLC 2 worked better in a 20 inch barrel, and Varget worked better in a 24 inch barrel for tikkas,

Jam a 175 gr smk or berger vld into the lands (5-15 th) use either powder (BLC2 or Varget) at near max loads, use a CCI BR or a FED GMM primer (if you can find them) use a Lapua case, and welcome to the MOA club!

If it does not shoot there is something wrong
