Load development question? 6mm remington

I have a new 6mm remington 10 twist barrel that I will be starting to load for. The 3 bullets that I have are 70grain SMK, 75 grain vmax, 87 grain vmax. My question is how do you guys start to develop a load. Pick one powder 10%less than max and see which bullet shoots best, or start with one bullet and see which powder works best? Also, if you could reccomend a powder to start with that is the most temperature stable for the mid-weight 6mm bullets that I have mentioned.

Most reloading books show MIN. to MAX. and usually show best results for powder and bullets used along with receipe for factory loads. No two guns or loads are the same. In a prefect world you should be able to buy 5 bullets with enough powder to load from min. to max in all brands of bullets and powder used. Try finding another reloader in your area to buy trade what ever or due like most of us buy a pound and 100 bullets at a time and start testing.

I've always found that using the powder and data given in my old Lyman book for the accuracy load with a particular bullet weight works well. Mind you, not all manuals give an accuracy load. Nor do they all have data for all the new bullets out there. Fortunately, there are lots of load data sites.
