Hey guys some help with load development would be appreciated, if anyone has any pet loads for the .300winmag. I have RL-19,22,25, IMR 4350, 4831, 7828, 7828ssc, Hodgens hybrid 100v, H1000 and likely others i am forgetting. Also on hand I have Sierra 180gks, Hornady 180 sst, speer 180 and 200. I have loads that shot well just thought someone may have C.O.A.L and recipe for something better. Gun is Remington 700 with 26" barrel and also winchester sxr. Any ideas appreciated.

My go-to load for the .300 Win is 80 grains of H1000 under whatever 180 grain bullet seems appropriate.(Usually a Ballistic-tip or A-frame) 3150 fps regular as clockwork and ESs that make you think the chronograph froze up. Knock a grain off for 190 SMKs or Bergers, and another grain or two for 208 A-Maxes.Something I've found with the H1000 is that 100 yards groups may not be the best, but 400 and out it all comes together.

COLs might vary from rifle to rifle, but most of my .300s were cut with the same reamer.I like to be close to the lands but not jammed.

200 Partition, chased by 78 grains of H1000, fired with a WLRM primer in Winchester brass.
Sub-moa in both my 300 Win Mag and my 308 Norma Mag, and steaming right along.
Start at 75 and work up.

With 180's, RL22 gets the nod, although I prefer Norma MRP [a moot point if you have none, lol.]
Usually the max ends up at between 75 and 76 grains of RL 22 with the 180's.
Again, start 3 grains down and work up.

Eagleye.

I load a 180 hornady btsp and r-22. Shooting it Ina model 70 classic Winchester.
Shoots at 3070 fps at under an inch. R22 works really well fast and accurate.
