Been having a hardish time finding load data for that combination; I've looked at my 2nd ed. Lee manual, Hornady's online reloading site, Handloads.com, and Googled around a bit.

Based on this I think that 49 grains of H4895 would be a good starting load.

Am I correct?

My book says that for 125gr Jacketed bullet, you use 50.0 grains of H4895. In other words, you should be fine.

Just a point on those Hornady 123's. If you are using them for hunting they need to stay under 2500 fps mv or they tend to explode on contact. They were made for 7.62x39 velocities. They work well though at that speed, very accurate and low recoil.

Hmmm varmint round for SVT-40? :D

This particular batch of ammo is going to be for plinking/muzzleflash video purposes, but thanks and duly noted.
