Loading down 300wsm

How far can you go reliably? I was pretty sure I was going to get a BLR in 308, but I'm tempted by the extra reach of 300WSM.

Loading down a 300wsm................why?

I load my 300WSM with reduced loads of H4895, to mimic 30-30 velocities of about 2000fps with a 150gr bullet.

Great for knocking the heads off grouse, and will kill a deer, of course. Good for training a kid, too.

Just interested. It's nice to be able to load a gun for lots of different game.

I am also interested in loading down the .300WSM.
I just want to use it for some shooting at the range . I don't hunt so I don't need the extra power . I also don't want the extra recoil of full loads.

I was planning on getting a .308 but a deal on a 300WSM Tika come up.

Anyone have some good mild loads using H4831 ( I have 3 pounds to use up ).

Go to Hodgdon's site. They don't list any loads using H4831 for any bullet weight under 168 grains though. 65.0 to 69.5(compressed)
