Looking into these I was wondering if anyone has any experience in loading or any recepies? Where do I start looking for components if any are even available?

Off the shelf ammo would be lovely but not expected.

Putting this here in the hopes of more exposure to the pistol folk rather than in the ammo forum and watch it drop off of the map.

This is the type of revovler I'm looking to load for;

Fantastic :D, thanks Pete.

He lists another ctrg as the 9.4mm Dutch East Indies (long version of the Dutch rev.)
same instructions for forming only cut to 1.07" and turn rim to .480"
loaded lenth is 1.29"
1.3g bullseye
case capacity is 21.35 (gr/water)
I think this might be ctrg for your gun. Easy enough to measure and see.
Cheers

I have 2 of these Dutch service revolvers and I reload for them. I would be interested in purchasing other Dutch service revolvers as well. (Non 12-6)

I form 41 Remington magnum brass in a 4CHD 9.4 Dutch East Indies die and then trim them to .980" length.

I cast bullets from pure lead using a 38-150D mold from accurate molds (ht tp://www.accuratemolds.com/catalog.php?page=4)

I reload with black powder; (fffg no air gap) or use 3.8grn Trail Boss. 3.8grn is the same as a once fired 9mm case filled to the top and evened off.

I crimp with a Lee factory 38-55 crimp die using a cut down 357 Magnum case as a spacer. It works well and the crimp is required.

My brass was originally a little bit longer but I had to cut it back to accommodate this bullet. The Dutch East Indies version of this cartridge was longer than the original as the locally made powder was inferior in quality. To compensate they maxed out the cartridge length to pack more powder in.

This was a challenging gun to reload for and it is fun to shoot. Black powder is a real hoot with much smoke and muzzle blast.
Not the most accurate revolver especially compared to anything modern but it certainly would get the job done. A good site for the history of these arms is found here: http://www.coreden-sterling.co.uk/page10.html
