So I am looking for advice on loading for the sub2k gen 1. I just want some decent 50 yard plinking ammo (I am not confused about what this gun is....a toy). Today I loaded some 115 grain campro round nose over 4.7 grains of tight group. Functioned fine for the most part, accuracy wasn't good and the brass came out super dirty, dirtier than my pistols. Should I be looking at a slower pistol powder for this gun? Anyone have a load that works for them? Thanks

Titegroup is almost always dirty. Often worse in carbines from many reports I've read. I love CFE Pistol personally.

The slower powders for longer barrels thing has mixed anecdotal support and no real ballistic lab support I've heard of. Longer barrels give better velocities, more pronounced with lighter bullets, but whether slower powders give better velocities in longer barrels is a crap shoot.

Would slower powders impact reliability? The sub2000 is a blowback right? I can't remember if they are temperamental with regards to burn speed?
