Loading on the low end for PRS - 6.5 CM

You would definitely feel a difference running 2650 vs say 2850, I think there would be some benefit, but not substantial, especially if you are running a well balanced heavy PRS rig.

I’m running 2750 with 140s in my 13lb PRS Sportsman rifle, I dont think slowing down my rounds would help me see more. A good muzzle break is key.

First point was trace. He said that when he went to the faster 6CM he found it much harder to see trace which for him was invaluable. He said that the trace sweet spot was around 2850 so 6BR etc were the better fit.

The second point was around seating depth. He said that each setup has a sweet spot or window for jump and with 6CM he found that with the high rate of fire and overbore cartridge even if he started on the low end of jump (ie rifle liked to run at 20 - 40 thou jump for best accuracy) he would burn so much barrel over the course of the match that it was beyond the upper limit for jump by the end and accuracy was suffering as a result so he was going back to something less aggressive that could last the match with optimal accuracy.
Sounds like Satterlee's sop

may see possible trace but also seeing all impacts, hits and misses. even watching an edge hit may help with adjusting poa or holding for the next target

Benchrest not PRS but my load in an Ace Target for 6.5CM is

135gr Hornady A-Tip Match
Lapua SRP brass
CCI 450 Magnum SRP

42.0gr H4350 @2742fps

Have loaded up some with 43.0gr to see if the increase in speed gives me a tiny bit better accuracy. 42.5 opened up from 42.0
Also have some 153gr A-Tips to try but that won't be until spring as well.
