Got one from Tradex Canada this month and hit the range today. Here's what worked:

- Winchester and Starline 38 Super brass trimmed to 0.800". Tried em both, the Win has a rim dia of 0.401", and is 0.795" long, the Starline rim is 0.396", and is 0.803" long. The Starline seems to feed better at present, but it's really inconclusive, as I base that on one (1) Win case not feeding quite right.
- sized in 38 Super dies
- Lee 90574 cast bullets lubed in Lee Alox. Called the "358-125-RF", but my mold drops wheelweight at 0.361" and 127gr. Good thing too, because although the M1907 is nominally a 9mm (9mm Browning Long), mine slugs at 0.359", so 0.361" is perfect. My Chilean M1912 slugs at 0.360", so that mold will come in very handy :)
- 4.5gr Unique and an OAL of 1.065" gives a consistent 1100 fps +/- 25 fps.

Recoil is snappy, and in a small gun like the M1907, it becomes taxing. I will try 4.0 grs of Unique next. Might keep the brass closer than 20 ft too. ;)

Update - 4.0 grs of Unique works fine. Just enough power to reliably cycle the action.

Andy -
I joined just recently, and just saw this thread. I own both a Husq. 1907 and a LeFrancais Armee, both in 9mm Brng. Long. I will be reloading and would be appreciative to hear what worked for you. Thanks.

David,

See above - it's all there in the first post. I settled at 4.0 grs of Unique, but with any 9mm Luger starting load and a properly sized bullet, you'll be good to go.
