Hey, I was just wondering what the best loads for a .223 Rem is. I would like to know what load i could use for both (gophers and coyotes). Is a 40 grain bullet okay to use for coyotes. Kyler.

i have been using the 55gr fmj that are being sold onCGN. They are cheap and being pushed by 23 gr imr 3031 with great results at 200 yards. Going to the country within the next couple months to try the 300 and over gopher spotting. You do not need anything expensive to hit them, just be sure of your shots. Coyotes fall over for them too when hit right.

Make sure what's behind your gophers. Fmj's can skip along quite a ways sometimes.
