Loads for 375 H&H

Just picked up my new howitzer from a fellow gunnut. Stainless Remington BDL 375 H&H, Does anyone have any load development that has shot well for this cartridge/rifle combo. I understand the variables but its a good place to start. Probably won't got too crazy on bullet weight. Maybe 260 or 270 gr. That'll drop anything on this continent.
I have RL25, IMR4064, IMR 4831, IMR4350 and H1000.
I hear the 4064 can be good for the 375 H&H.

300gr Hornady r.n. over 75gr IMR 4350 .020 off the lands stunning accuracy in my 602, 77 gr 4350 on 260gr Accubond, 1" groups.

270gr barnes tsx bullets, 71gr IMR 4064. Good luck

260 gr. - Nosler Ballistic Tip, 71.0 grs RL15, CCI 250 ~ 2684 fps

that's what I load in my buddies m70 classic stainless 24"



The new Accubond 260 grain would do similar



I really like RL15 & Varget in the 375 H&H

77 gr 4350 on 260gr Accubond, 1" groups.

I was thinking of trying the 260 gr accubonds. Should work well on everything we have here in Canada, Sounds like a nice load.

But shooting a 260 gr bullet from the 375 H&H I should downsize my bullet for my 338 win mag from 250 gr to a 210 or 225 gr. Cant have 2 guns shooting similar weight bullets.
My 300 ultra mag shoots 180's, ooohh crap, my 7mm rem mag shoots 175 gr. Maybe I'll have to shoot 165 gr out of the 7mm rem mag.

Anyone else have similar problems???

71.5 grains of IMR 4064 under a Hornady 270 RN. My Winchester Model 70 shot these into 1&1/4 inch at 185 yards. Lots of power for ANYTHING you hunt.

AAAHHHHH roundnose. gotta love roundnose. Actually all the roundnose bullets I've shot seem to group really well. Sometimes better the others.

if you change your load in your 338, take a look at the new Barnes 210 gr. Triple Shock X

if I hunted with a 375 H&H I would most defenitely shoot the 260 gr. Accubond.

235 gr. Barnes XLC could be a real sleeper of a load, it can be loaded to 2900 fps+ and has a high BC of .400
