Loads or Winchester 1894 (38/55)

Just picked up a Winchester lever (1894) in 38/55..
Looking for some mild loads as I prefer shooters to safe queens.
So far, I have found a couple using my .376" 250 grains cast bullets.
1) Trail Boss 6.0Gr. giving 842FPS at 20,000CUP
2) Unique 7.0Gr. giving 975FPS, pressure not listed.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

H4198 is a good place to start. Also Alliant 2400 works too. If you can get a look at Ken Waters Pet Loads book I have had good loads out of that.

I was shooting a couple of .38-55 Winchester M94's a few years back. Both were manufactured prior to 1920 and they both loved 10.0 grains of Unique with a Bullet Barn 255 bullet. It is a fun caliber to load and shoot.
