This pic was sent to me by a relative in southern Sask.
I wonder if you'd be allowed to tag the live one and claim the dead buck?
It would make an interesting mount
He's looking pretty gaunt. It'd be better in that instance if a CO could tranqualize the live buck and free him. Not really much left of him to shoot unless you were just after the rack. If he was released he'd be able to recover quite nicely I would think and get some meat back on the bones, provided he didn't get killed by a predator before getting his strength back, then you could shoot and tag him .
Pretty cool for sure, i just recieved an email from a buddy bout two moose locked together, pretty sure its back home in newfoundland.Must of been one hell of a fight.
Pictures of two dead prime bull moose found south of White River with
locked antlers. The larger bull had a 44.5 inch antler spread and
the smaller had a 38 inch antler spread. The larger bull hooked its
antlers through the other bulls antlers and under its neck.
By doing so, when the larger bull stood up, it would have flipped the
Smaller animal(and thats a relative term!) on its back. It would
appear that the larger bull dragged the smaller one around for quite a
while Before he laid down and died.

I read about those bucks or ones in the same situation here is Sask, the article is in one of my Big Buck mags. The article states that the coyotes were eating one deer and the other was standing there waiting to die. So happens a hunter found them and shot the living one. I'll have to find that article again.
