Locking up pistol ammo when transporting?

So i just purchased my first restricted and have been reading up on all the extra requirments. I have read a few threads in here where people are saying your ammo must be locked up when you are transporting but i dont see that in the RCMP regs.

Its just states..
Unload
trigger/cable lock
lock in sturdy non-transparent container
have ATT

Nothing about ammo at all. For storage the only rules are lock ammo if they are together or store it seperatly. I currently store my NRs in a hidden spot with cable and trigger locks and store my ammo unlocked in a seperate room. When i transport i usually lock my NRs when in the city, nevery lock the ammo.

So i was planning on doing the exact same thing with the exception of locking my restricted according to the regs for storage (case and trigger lock) and transportation (case and trigger lock) but didnt plan on locking the ammo at all.

Am i missing something?

Thanks, thats what i though but just wanted to make sure. Would be pretty silly to take your NRs and Rs to the range and have to lock the ammo for your Rs but it wouldnt surprise me.

That would be weird.. Because some NR's shoot the 'restricted' calibers... like .45ACP, .357mag and .44mag for example.

I usually just have a back pack with my ammo, targets, screwdrivers, etc in it.. and my pistols in their own case outside of the back pack.

'Together' in my mind would mean to have the ammo IN the same locked case as the Restricted firearm.

Blah blah blah...

RCMP's site says:

"Store the ammunition separately or lock it up. It can be stored in the same locked container as the firearms."

"Non-restricted firearms must be unloaded during transportation."

" Unload the firearms; and
Attach secure locking devices to the firearms; and
Lock the firearms in a sturdy, non-transparent container; and
Remove the bolts or bolt carriers from any automatic firearms (if removable).
Obtain an Authorization to Transport (call 1-800-731-4000)."

I would put any ammo under the 'Storage or NR category', since there is nothing on/about specific types of ammunition and nothing is stated in the Transportation section besides Unloading, which should be obvious.. Ammunition is ammunition, Regardless what it's used in.
