I just bought some Fixmaster steel putty made by loctite.
product # 99913
Now its like $249 for 1 LB if bought in Canada but i found some in the USA for $33 and am getting it mailed up here.
I want to try it on pited metal surfaces as i find JB weld is to dam soft.

anyone try this loctite Fixmaster products?

The surface has to be cleaned with acetone and roughed up in order for it to stick. Try Devcon, it's wonderful stuff
It's best that surface be sandblasted and then cleaned with acetone before patching. I have excess (1,1 lb) Devcon Titanium Putty (18000PSI and machineable) for sale for half the price. It's the best stuff for glass bedding and at $4 per oz will beat the hell out of Brownells kit at $12+per oz. If that thing won't help, nothing will.

So no one has used it then its worth a try i figger as no one really knows how hard or tough its gona be till you try it.

I looked at that Devcon stuff but have not tryed it.
loctite products have always been good for me in the past..
I have a Stick of that two part steel putty that you cut and need it, then use it fast, that stuff is not bad as it Drys very hard.

Why acetone ? cant i just use brake cleaner to clean the surface?
