Loctite Question

I'm having some problems getting a TS200 peep to stay tight on a SKS Tula '51 and have started a thread in the Red forum.

My question is simple. Blue Loctite is to permit the removal of a bolt, BUT after bolt is removed, must fresh Loctite be added in replaceing the bolt?

The answer, clean off as much as possible of the old and apply new blue locktite again.

i thought i wouldnt need to reapply loctite to my rear ts100 sight on my 10/22, but after a few hundred rounds it would be loose.

since i reapplied, it has been fine.

Paint thinner probably. If you know what threads it is you can get a die nut and clean up the threads.

Yes fresh loctite must be applied to the capscrew.
