I just got back from the range, where I ran into a tiny little snag today; I was practicing CQB, so I had my AR on the 1pt sling. At one point, I slung my rifle down and drew and fired my pistol. When I cleared and put away the pistol, I found that my rifle had lost the back BUIS. It had come unscrewed, by the looks of things.

I screwed it back on at the bench. No problem. But I wonder if this is a screw that could benefit from some LocTite.

What do y'all think?

nope, loctite is only for xcr's, AR's and their accessories use magical bolts/screws that are invincible against self loosening.

I kid, locktite blue and just a dab. Dont use red.

I routinly use a dab of blue on almost all gun screws. Have never had a problem getting one off, when needed and have gained the peace of mind that bits won't come loose at the wrong time.

Thanks, curious that the ones that come with the Vortex mount is red.
