What's everybody using for their favourite log book?
Looking for something that is primarily used for round count.
I'm just using a note pad right now for round count, range card, DOPE, etc...gets a little ratty after a while:)

Excel spreadsheet, load the Ammo in case before and then just keep a piece of paper for anything that changes on range

Update the Spreadsheet after reviewing targets it's done.. keep cleaning notes failures and serial nos in it as well.

I also use Rite in the rain booklets. There are a hundred different types and sizes. Waterproof so I use it all year around. Use a space pen (Fisher) for writing on it during wet season

A nice little zippered up black notebook about 7x9 with a calculator inside ,once it's full just replace the pages inside and save the old ones .

Similar to rite in the rain I think.

You guys are tough I don't go out in the rain..:)

HAHA....I wish I could choose....it always seems to be crappy weather when I go shooting! Constantly taking stuff apart to dry and re-oil, picking dry mud off of everything.
And......all those crispy note pads that have been spread out to dry and are twice as thick as they were ever meant to be..LOL.

Thanks for the suggestions guys......the 'Rite in the Rain' looks like the ticket and maybe some time on Excel during the post shooting cocktails would be a great back up.

I got a Impact Data book. You can get premade ones or make your own and they have sheets for about everything you can think of! I really like mine and found that its the most versatile one on the market. Also CP Gear has a notebook cover that fits great!

X2 I'm a fair weather kind of guy, except when hunting season rolls around. I make my own especially when doing load development. I use graph paper and for each charge weight(5 rounds) I make a target on the graph paper under my velocities to record hits and make notes. Pretty archaic but it works for my mind.

Good idea..

+1 for Impact Data Books. I got the premade one. It has all the calculation formulas.
Very handy.
Look at there website.

During load development I transfer all my notes including load, drops and chrono data to the actual target and take a picture with my phone. When I find a load I like, I go to JBM and print out a range card. Round count is just a sheet of paper on my reloading bench. Keep it simple :)
