I've recently acquired a nice Glock 19 from Questar with the 107mm Lone Wolf barrel, and altough I completly love this gun, I just had a small problem. I've fired exactly 3 boxes of factory ammo out of this gun (Speer Lawman 124 grains, if that can be of any help), and the finish at the tip of the barrel is 'flaking off'. Now I would expect the finish to wear down after some time, but some big 'chips' of the finish are missing (like 5mm X 5mm), so early in the gun's life makes me wonder...

Is this a common problem with this kind of barrels or did I get a bad one?

The oxide finish on those barrels doesn't compare to the finish
you'd find on a factory Glock barrel, or Sig for that matter.
It's not that deal 'O deal, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
If you start missing 5mm X 5mm pieces of steel off the end
of the barrel, then I would start to worry.

Looks nice in black but as for durability it will no near compare to the glock factory finish. I have seen PM's where Questar addressed this in the past.

Black is for looks, stainless is durable and will not change color.
