Long Action/ Short Action?

In a WINCHESTER MODEL 70 is the .22-250 considered a short action or a long action? .308 I believe is a short action and .30.06 is long action . .22-250????

It depends how old the rifle is. At one time Winchester only made one length of action and blocked the magazine for shorter cartridges.

Later in life they made a shorter action for the shorter shells.
