I am looking at a 1944 Long Branch N04 Mk1* that was FTRd in 1949. It was not upgraded to Mk2, Still has the trigger on the trigger guard, not on the action, My question is, how common are the ones that were not upgraded to Mk2?

An FTR Long Branch No4 MkI* would become a No4 Mk 1/3 if the trigger was changed. This is because of the simplified bolt release. I believe the trigger upgrade during the FTR started in 1949. There are many rifles that didn't receive the upgrade.
