Hard to say, their is no real cut-off for barrels pattern from what I have seen. I have seen 1943 No.4's with both two groove and five groove barrels as well as a 1942 with a two groove.
That said, 1943 is a very common year and would probably make a good match.
Long Branch manufactured MkI (5groove LH) MkII (2 groove LH) and C.Mk4. 303 (6 groove RH) barrels.
5 groove "MkI" barrels are left hand twist. I have Long Branch MkI barrels dated 1941,42,43,44,45,49,50,51,54 thru 1954 (the latest dated .303 LB I have).
I have seen Long Branch MkII barrels dated 1941,42,43,44 & 45.
6 groove "C.Mk4" barrels are right hand twist. I have several C.Mk4 barrels dated earliest dated 1949 and latest dated 1958.
Put a 3 piece cleaning rod down the barrel with a snug patch. Leave one section slightly loose and see if it tightens or unscrews. If it unscrews, you have LH twist.
