Today ,Johnn Peterson, HS4570 and myself took trip to our local range and had some very good results. Johnn was shooting his new stainless Savage in 25-06. At 185 yards he shot a nice 3 shot group that measured under half an inch. So anyone who is looking to buy a new rifle be sure to give Savage a look over. He also shot a golfball at 185 yards with the new Savage. Not to be outdone I had to try it , and also shot the golfball at 185 yards with my 7x57 Mountain Rifle.:dancingbanana: Hopefully the golfball pic will be up soon. I emailed them to grouseman, he usually posts pics for me. HS4570 was shooting a 243 and doing his usual under an inch group at 100. I am going to get Johnn to scan me a copy of his target and perhaps get it posted.

Hey Guy, it was a fun day.:) We'll have to do it again. How does Friday sound? About the same time? Small cal's again I guess so I'll bring my Ruger #1, .22-250 & Remington XP-100, .221 Fireball. Let me know. I can't figure how to post the target  from today so I'll scan it with load info attached & e-mail it to you.:D Let me know about this Friday, weather permitting of course.

Better than trying to club 'them' to death, while they try & hide, in 18 different homes. :D You'll have to come shoot with us one day.:)

Hey I'd love to, let me know the time and the place, and I'll try to fit it in my schedule. :D

Also holy snappers Grouseman that's some fine shooting. :)

That is just the first reloads that I tried/tested. I'd be tempted to write the results off as s**t house luck but on Sept. 26th, at the same range, same loads with the exception of reducing the freebore to about 0.005", results were comparable but not quite as good. Three shot group @ 100yds measured0.642" and @ 185yds was 0.995". The 117gr Sierra BT with 48grs of IMR 4350 & CCI 200 primers was somewhat better than the results I got using 50grs of IMR 4831. I have some Nosler 120gr solid base, Barnes115gr flat base and 110gr Nosler Accubonds to try next but I doubt that I'll be able to top the results I've obtained so far.:)
