Has anyone on here taken the gunsmith course by PCDI Canada? Its a division of Ashworth College.
Looking at the course it seams pretty basic.I'm just wondering if it is worth the money. Not planning on becoming a fulltime gunsmith but it could be interesting for my own amusement and tinkering.

Since gunsmithing is a hands on trade it seems strange to learn it from a book only with no hands on tutoring from a skilled instructor, probably some good information for general knowledge but practical skills would most likely be lacking in the end.

Agreed !

The tuiton is $850 for this course and it does include some tooling with the books.
Looks like you need to have a project gun to work on so there is hands on work.

I think I'll go for it. They dropped the price from 895 to 595. Not looking to make a living at it, but looking to learn and the price is right for what it is. Also comes with an NFA membership included.

I notice they very specifically leave out semi automatic centre fire rifles. They specific semi auto rimfire, semi auto shotgun and semi auto pistol, but leave semi auto rifles out. I won't be signing up.

where did you see this drop in price? I just checked the website and it says $845.
