Hello. I am looking for a Long Eye Relief Scope for my 8mm Mauser K98. In Canada, I have found the Aim Sports 2-7X32 Dual III for $67 and the NC Star 2-7x32 Long Eye Relief scope for $63.

My question is, will these scopes stand up the forces of an 8mm Mauser? If not, what long eye relief scope do you suggest that is available in Canada - please say who sells it and the price. I would prefer not to spend a mountain of money. Thank you.

Don't cheap out on optics! There is not much available for quality LER scopes. This would have been my second choice:

I ended up going with the Leupold FX2 scout.

^Cameron has it bang on IMO.

Myself I own two scout scopes, the older Burris scout scope, loosened it's reticles after a mere 200 rounds of 7.62x51.

The Leupold scout scope has sat aboard this "Tanker" Garand in 7.62x51 for several years now.
Sum total of zero problems with that set up.

Myself I think anything of lesser (read cheaper) quality optics is surely good money burned for a really bad reason!

my 2 bits only
