Now before everyone starts crying about me bubbaing a nice russian SKS, be comforted that i have two beautiful wood ones in the safe waiting for whenever i want them, so crying aside...
I have put my 1950 russian sks into an ATI monte carlo stock and replaced the rear sight with a scout scope rail, but now i am looking at options for what to mount on it. I have a red dot that i had for a slug gun, a 1x42mm, but i found i had to lift my head off the stock it is so wide and the dot mooves around when i do that.
So what i am looking for is suggestions for a shorter, compact, long eye relief scope or lower profile red dot that i won't need to raise up so far to see through. I am thinking maybe one of the pistol scopes might work well for it.
Let me know if you have tried before, what did you like or not like, and what you might suggest to mount on it.
