I am looking for a scope with a long eye relief to put on my Benelli MR1 .223cal. The eye relief needs to be about 4-6 inches around 4x power trying to keep it on a budget too no more than $200. I would like something compact. I like the looks of these Leapers and Barska scopes but I do not know anything about their quality. The Barska's are on sale right now 1/2 price. What else is available.

Sorry about all the links I am unable to upload any pictures.

Barska and Leapers are cheap to sell because they are cheap to make. That means not really good optical quality and build quality also suffers, because it is easier to sell people on bells & whistles than on fundamentals. With cheap scopes if you stick with a fixed power you have a better chance than a variable power but they still aren't the best bet. If you don't mind the higher incidence of having to take it back and waiting for a replacement under warranty or paying out again if it just manages to outlast the warranty, you might be happy enough with one of them. At least with a semi-auto .223 you won't have a lot of recoil to knock them apart.
