Long eye relief scopes

I have a question in regards to long eye relief scopes, such as the Bushnell Elite 3200 2X6 power which has an eye relief of 20". I notice that this scope is often advertised as a normal scope with no mention of the eye relief, however I know you could mount the scope on a rifle a.k.a as a scout scope, but could you mount it as a normal scope on a rifle.

nope- the focus is different- normal scopes have an eye relief of 3-5 inches- you can't use one for the other

The 2-6 is made for handguns...will not work on rifles for either standard or scout mount.

If you are looking for a scout scope for a rifle, look at the Leupold and Burris scopes. I have a Burris scout scope on my 458win and I love it.
