Long Lee 22 Hornet

I first put this up in the milsurp section ,but it is a sporterized old long lee dated 1893 .( the barrel was a 22 lr rechambered for hornet ,not sleeved 303)last pic is what it was before
It is a bits gun project that was never completed ,its now all functional and working .
Not a fan of the #1 barrel sight I did make a semi Rigbyish cocking piece sight for it and found a set of Medford sporterized stock set.
The rear sight is actually allowing a less than 1 inch group at the 50 yard target so good enough for small is game and fun to shoot

Reminds me of my 1st centerfire game rifle, a No1 MKIII sporter in .303 that I bonked alot of critters with in the early 70's.
Now the fun bit would be matching the bullets to the bore diameter and working up loads that ain't too warm for the old steel
that barrel was designed for. I'd wanna go with hardcast 45 gr boolits @ 2000 fps meself for best results if the bore be super
tidy and the muzzle crown be trued up.
