long magazine for pump

Be very careful with your request. Centrefire semi-automatic rifles are limited to 5 rounds as per Canadian law. While there are extended magazines manufactured for your pump rifle, if they are marketed to fit a semi-automatic as well, they are illegal to use in the 760/7600 rifles. Colyer and Eagle are a few of the makers.
SuperCub has the right idea, carry 2 five round factory mags.

That's not entirely accurate. You are correct in saying that all 10 round 760/7600 magazines are also designed to be used in the 740/7400 semi-automatic rifles. In fact it's more accurate to say that they are designed primarily for the 740/7400 rifles, but also fit the 760/7600 series. This means that the magazines would have to be pinned to 5 rounds. They are certainly not illegal to use in the 760/7600 rifles, but they would not be legally permitted to use their full 10 round capacity unless they are exclusively marketed as being usable in the 760/7600 rifles, and not marketed to be used in the 740/7400 rifles.

A high cap mag is just plain dumb for a sporting rifle. It obstructs the best location to carry the rifle in one hand and adds a LOT of weight that is not needed.

If one needs more than 5 shots for shooting at game, one is doing something very wrong.

Yes, you are right. It comes down to marketing, labelling and pinning.
