Iv been overwhelmed looking at scopes and could use some opinions.
Im looking for a scope with these features but not sure whats the best bang for my buck?(under $1200)
-44mm objective
-side parallax
-target turrets with custom options
-3-16ish power

I want to be able to shoot out to around 600 yards on paper and hunting. I really want to learn to compensate using moa/mils but like the idea of being able to get custom turrets that are quick and easy to. I think any of the 50mm scopes will be to bulky for my liking so im set on a 44mm.

Iv been looking at vortex vipers/bushnell tacticals/ziess conquest. leupolds look cheep to me so they're out but i know theres better options for my money any ways. Id like a sightron but there on short supply and dont come in a 44mm with decent power.

whats everyone think??

US Optics would be my only guess although over double your budget. 3.2-17x44 with a 34mm tube. If you want one PM me, I have one that isn't going to work for my new project.

It seems that you are limiting your choices pretty drastically by insisting on a 44mm objective lens. You'll have many more choices if you expand your criteria to include, say, anything between 40 and 50mm.

To 600 yards and used for hunting, the Zeiss 3-15x42 Conquest HD5 with a Rapid Z reticle would be a great choice.

Swarovski Z5 3.5-18x44 with BT ballistic Turret and 4W Reticle.(1550-1600 $)

On my 30-06 150 gr at 3000 MV I have original 4 colored marks set at 275, 350, 400, 450 than hash marks (made with marker) on rings at 500, 550, 600 and 640 at max # of clicks.

You dial in BT elevation and calculate windage to compensate for wind using MOA or inches. And you can get custom Turrets.

I migrate this scope between Sako's 75, 85 in 3 different calibers so using BT let's me reset POI as I change them around.
1 Scope 1 set of rings for 3 rifles.

Go compare this scope to all others - you might be pleasantly surprised!
Bushnell 6500 elite 2.5-16... tac or non-tac - It has what you ask including price! I use mine to 700yds no problem.
GREAT scope for the $$$

Vortex Viper HS Tactical Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 5-15x 44mm Side Focus 1/10 MIL Adjustments Mil-Dot Reticle Matte. A midway exclusive at $499. Gets great reviews, but you would have to do the import paperwork.
