Long slide 1911 and six inch non 1911 help

Looking for options for my next restricted buy and am wanting either a long slide 1911 or and longer barrelled pistol non 1911. I was looking at the sig xsix but it is well out of my price range.
Budget is roughly 1500$ give or take a few hundred.
Would like something available in Canada and either 45 or 9mm
Always like the look if the long slide pistol

There is the STI Target Master available at Freedom Venture (CGN sponsor up top), however it is a little outside of your budget. I don't think there is anything else around that price range.

Yes, but in reality the California companies that made them had spotty QA issues. Especially the front of the slides.

Also being one of the very first totally stainless steel 1911s, one of the mistakes was building the frame and slide of the exact same alloy.
This led to galling very often with frequency of shooting.
Later made ss 1911s were often made with better/slightly differing metalurgy.

I had one once and it was more tempermental than a june bride. Sometimes the thing was dime shooter @20 yards. Then suddenly for some unexplained reason start to shoot split groups. Often low and to one side of the intial group.

I sold it and I don't miss it even one little bit.
