Help! The CFC is giving me the run-around.

I am coming to Kingston for 3 months (Apr-Jun) and plan to shoot IPSC whenever I can. I have the travel ATT I need to get to Kinsgton but nobody at the CFC will tell me who is responsible to issue a long term ATT to cover me while I am there.

Anybody have any ideas?

You usually need to join a local club and get the club to sponsor you for the long term ATT from the Ontario CFO.
I'd call the Ontario CFO to find out what they think.

The club sponsored ATT typically is good for transporting from your registered storage location to any "approved" range in the Province for several years, provided you maintain the sponsoring club membership. In Kingston the club would be the FRPC, see FRPC.ca for contact info. They may be willing to do a "discount" membership since you're there for less than a year.

There might also be the possibility of using your Manitoba ATT if you have letters of invitation from the various clubs where matches are held. But I'd be uncertain about that one.
