So out for an afternoon , Stopped in at out local cabelas to look for.primers, as I scanned the used rack my heart skipped.
I saw a No4 in full original config I asked about it and the guy at the counter he says ..oh that,,, it's just a 22 don't get excited.

Times slows ,,, he hands me the rifle and I'm thinking no way probably a old n04 with a sleeved barrel the kind I used in cadets still cool right...
My first look it's pristine I'm confused I look at the receiver and my heart stops.. 1946 Longbranch N07 I look at the serial number on the receiver and it matches the bolt !!!
I look at the price .........515 sold!!!!
He says oh it comes with an extra mag and hands me a hiscock parker Mag... at this point I'm struggling to keep.my cool lol

Any ways .. it's mine it's beautiful and I would love any input any one has onif this is legit I'll try and link some photos I just had to share..https://photos.app.goo.gl/GrpdmvoiignkqMu39

Very, very, nice. Don,t both buying lottery tickets after this as I would say you used up your qouta of luck.

I always browse the used racks when I'm near a Cabelas, seen some interesting stuff, but nothing remotely considered as an immediate must buy or even a decent deal. This would have gone home with me as well if I had stumbled across it, glad it went to someone who appreciates it.

I would have said, “Sorry my good man but you’ve sorely undervalued this and I cannot in good conscience take advantage of your ignorance. Please ring it up for $2000 and don’t forget to add the tax.”

Shame on you.

Hey I sold mine with transport box for $3,800 - 4 years ago. That is an EXCELLENT UNICORN FIND my friend. Never sell it!
