Been trying to find one for a while, every single one i come across thats from a longbranch rifle apparently, all dont have any markings.

Anywhere i can find a longbranch butt stock with markings, and what markings am I looking for.

Thanks for the help.

They are marked on the underside of the wrist with an inspector's mark ie LB/32, LB/34, LB/66 etc as well as "C" Broadarrow. Should be to difficult to find one.....what type of wood..birch, maple or walnut? Ron

Should or shouldnt be too difficult to find one? lol. Looking for walnut finished in very good condition. Have a crack in my current longbranch butt stock on my LB n4mk1 and would like to find a replacement

That last part would be a challenge. Are you looking for a specific inspector's mark?

I have a spare. Walnut, short. Has a few dings in it, came off a DP rifle. I keep it in the boat for bonking fish.

It's yours for the postage. :p

Butt stroking fish saves on ammo and avoids holes in the boat. I've seen the No4 spike bayos used as chisels when ice fishing. Still more uses for this venerable old warhorse.

For the postage eh? I may be interested in that.. juss lemme know what youd like me to do :p

Well markings arent a big deal to me i dont think.. just long as it is longbranch and fits with my current longbranch (im buying one to swap out the cracked matching one)
