I have heard it on the radio and from some MNR people that they are going to lengthen the gun season for deer in a few areas.
The Lindsay and Peterborough areas among others are going to add two more weeks to the gun season... the whole month of November!
There will be some changes to the tag allotment as well.:eek:
 
things are starting to look brighter for us . now if only we could get to hunt on sunday instead of sitting in church all frucking day:p
 
jeezuz the whole month? i am gonna have to come down there and bug you guys for a bit if i fair out like i did last year here

I am going to need a crash course on deer hunting with a shotgun from ya sometime soon.

The opportunities around here are too good to pass up.

We need to shoot something together this fall.
 
Man, there's another little push for me to go take a hunter's safety course and get licensed.

I just happen to know where there are a couple of remington slug barrels;)
You should come out for a turkey hunt this spring too!:cool:

There are some new and pending regulations on the website. But nothing that would suggest a whole month of deer season....

Better check your hunting area this fall.Sunday hunting almost everwhere for the fall of 2006

Yeah its all over the radio here and in Lindsay as well... the story we are hearing is it is a done deal... I don't know about the time frame for sure but the expectation is for this season!
Four week gun hunt and then right into the Muzzle loader season.... in theory this is supposed to help lower the deer numbers... but without the extra tag allocation it is redundant.
I think overall it is a good strategy... I hope they don't hang the enforcement people out to dry though... we need more CO's in the field for an expanded hunt such as this.
 
I had a check of the MNR site on Saturday to see if I could gun hunt on Sunday. It said the new Sunday hunting opportunites are supposed to come into effect 1 Sep 06.

Not that it mattered anyways, I spent all day yesterday on income taxes and a Grade five science project. Unlike some of the members here, I actually PASSED grade five, and a long time ago too..........
