This is my gun, it began as a stock Norc 2007 model. With a Smith Enterprises 2024 mount and a p.o.s. Simmons scope I took down my first deer last year. This year, the rifle got an m14sa2 stock for Christmas, a new scope, marstar op rod guide, wolff springs, and a full accurizing by Thomas! I'm getting about 2moa with the cheap Winchester ammo and could certainly do better with handloads.

It's a good hunting rig, not great if you're going to walk 10 miles, but good. The semi-auto is just plain fun. I smoked a coyote at over 250 yesterday.

I'm not bragging about the deer btw. One shot at 150 yards.

Keep hunting with semis so the anti's can't have them taken away! Thanks for the great gun Thomas!
 
There are a lot of people who appreciate what Thomas can do with their stock M14. Now here is a great example. Nice shooting. What bullet did you use? Do you use 200 yds for your zero?

My scope is a Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x50 with the BDC reticle. It is zeroed at 100. The bullets are the cheap winchester silver box super-x. $16.45 taxes in at the Co-op for a box of 20. 150 grainers.

I'm looking forward to seeing what will happen with the handloads.

Hey, It's even more gratifying for me to see ALL of you :D succeed at everything with your M14's in every stage of tweaking and/or use! :) Bring on the pictures (and bragging.... LOL)

Now I would dearly love to see pics of coyotes getting smoked by your M14 boomsticks! Either tweaked or box stock! :cool:

I have to second on Thomas great work he does on the M14's. I sent him my rifle and was very pleased with the results. Accuracy was improved (unitizing, trigger tune & muzzle break) , reliability ( gas port inspection & USGI stock fitment) and handling of the rifle(18.5" barrel). Any way great work by M14Doc.

Well Done ....Nice Buck !!!!

I took my new PolyTech Deer hunting this year instead using of one my other hunting rifles.....no luck but enjoyed having it out of the safe..lol

It is a USGI stock, modded to my M14SA2 design....... I make them from scratch now, carbon fiber and fiberglass, but will still perform the Modifications to USGI fiberglass stocks, should folks want one. you have to supply the stock.
 
Damn that M14SA2 stock looks so damn ###y... but a little bit outside my price range, a regular USGI stock will have to do for now.
