Over the past couple of days I have recieved (bought) 1 case or 5000 rounds of Lapua superclub and I recieved a Bushnell 3200 5-15 that I traded (thanks Scott). I got the Lapua superclub for my "Valmet finnish lion" benchrest gun and the scope to go on the custom 10/22. I am a happy camper. And i should have a Marlin 2000L coming not long from now.

lol, Thanks guys :). Bought it from international imports (target shooting products). It took 5 business days (1 week in all) to get here. Shipping was $30. The final bill, with GST/HST came to $446.19 exactly. The case weights probably 45-50lbs.

The ammo costs $387 a brick without tax or shipping and about $41 per brick.

Hope I have answered everybodys questions

I have shot the Lapua Club and it is excellent! Basically (or is?) the same as the fabled Wolff match which we don't get up here. Light waxed lead bullet.

I think quite a few people shoot this stuff. At least, to the matches and shoots I have been to quite a few people shoot this stuff. The probelm is that not many people know about this ammo. If you went up the average hunter/shooter, and asked if he knew what Lapua superclub was, 9 times out 10 they would probably have no idea what that is.

I believe velocity is aroun 1050. Below the speed of sound any way. And its lead, like most target ammo out there. With a good lube.

One fact that I may point out is that many people shoot Wolf MT and Wolf ME. Not so much here in Canada, but in the states these loads are quite popular. Lapua superclub is the same load as one of these, except I am not sure which one.

Regards,
Jordan

Here is one more comment I might add about this ammo. When I bought my benchrest gun, which is a Valmet finnish lion, i recieved about 100 rounds of Lapua superclub, along with various accessories and other ammo. This 100 rounds I had was some of the best ammo i have ever had. Not sure if it was the particular lot #, or if it was just the ammo (guess I will find out tomorrow) but man would it shoot. I could consistently group under 1/4 of an inch at 50 yards, and about 80% of the time group under 1 inch at 100 yards.

I am going to the range to try it out tomorrow, but at the moment my leupold scope's rings are messed up so I can not shoot it. Instead, I have installed the redfield peep sights that came with the gun, and will be using this gun at the silhouette match my range is hosting on Saturday. The gun weighs about 13 pounds and has a 2 oz trigger but I tried it out a couple of days ago with that trigger and shooting offhand and I could shoot it when I wanted to, without the trigger going off when I am not ready. We will see how the match goes though.

After the match is over, I will hopeully get that Leupold scope fixed, and then I can shoot some groups with the ammo. But tomorrow, I am going to try this ammo in my 10/22 with a GM barrel, Revival industries stock, and a Skeeters seer/hammer kit. Hopefully this ammo will shoot good out of my 10/22. I am sure it will though, in about 95% of the guns Lapua superclub works good.

I will post some groups shot with both my finnish lion with the peep sights and the 10/22. I can actually group my finnish lion with the peep sights just about as well as I can with my 10/22 with a scope on.

Here are some groups I have shot with Lapua superclub. They are meausred CTC. All are 5 shots except for the first one which is 3 shots.

I can't wait to hear how it shot. I have used ( 1 box of 50) Eley Club out of my ruger 10/22 ( volquartsen barrel, Kid trigger, Kid match bolt...etc) and It grouped very well. This was the first time I have ever shot match ammo and I think I actually let out an excited giggle when I saw how well it grouped. Good thing no one was around or they might have thought I was a bit fruity:p

Last week I was at the range shooting some eley club extra out of my 10/22 at 25 yards. The groups were preatty good. Although not as good as some of the Lapua superclub and Midas/M and L I was shooting. But for $14 a box for the Midas ammo, its probably not worth it

lol. Here are some pictures I took of the 10/22

Here are the specs

Ruger 10/22 Carbine
Bushnell 3200 5-15x40
Burris Zee rings
Ruger base
GM 20" blue bull barrel
Revival industries Yukon stock (electric blue)
Jewled bolt (done by my self)
Skeeters hammer
Skeeters seer
modified trigger return.

We will see how it does tomorrow with that new ammo.

9 boxes x 500 rounds equals 4500. I think that you got ripped off. Or you didn't have them all in the pic.:p I just finished a 10/22 build (posted here elsewhere) and although it was primarily built for gophers, now I'm wanting to go out and shoot some groups to see how it does. I'm not sure if it is to justify the price of the gun, or just for my own personal satisfaction. I now have a Kimber SVT in my sights, although I hope the urge wears off in the next 6 months or so. I wonder if this is how crack heads feel.

Well, I am going to the range in about 1 and a half hours, so I should be back in about 4 hours from now to report :).

Here are some pictures I shot last Tuesday with my finnish lion using peep sigts. These are my first two, and only two groups I have ever shot with peep sights btw. Definately a lot of fun.
