While the comments went on a little too long, the point MUST be made. Once would have been enough, the whole world doesn't have to "me too" a guy when he slipped abit, but some of that reflects on the the sensitivities engendered by the "anti" climate sponsored by the bureaucratic hangers on, the Liberal rump as it were. Until we win a majority, change the civil service regs and PURGE these scum, we have to walk wide circles around their 'sensibilities".

These are NOT toys. While not especially dangerous when handled according to good safety practices, they still have the potential.

I also fail to appreciate remarks about "safety nazis"; exhibit unsafe firearm handling at our range, and I or another member of the executive will quietly and politely stop you and let you know what the rules are. That is fair, but if there is a repeated pattern or an extreme violation, you will be sent packing, and your membership rescinded.

I have enjoyed the shooting sports for over 40 years, and I will not have our range licence pulled because someone did something boneheaded. Its called Adult rules.

We have to be very careful to present absolute compliance with both the spirit and letter of safety regulations, out sworn enemies lurk and would love a chance to clip out unflattering sections from this board. That is one of the many reasons why the moderators keep a tight rein on some of the more off the wall stuff.

Yeah, wow you guys are right. I never even thought of that. No one else said that about my pictures, I guess its sorta cool that the gun buffs are the most careful ones!

I have the same setup, but with stailess steel.
I use a red dot for hunting. Very quick and efficient.

Yeah, well look where "finger on the trigger" gets you. First, you put your finger on the trigger and post some goofy pics to a forum, next thing you are in a blaze of glory shootout with Sosa's hitmen. See for yourself...

Ya, some of these geezers are better at stating their mind than us younger folks. It's nice to know they are looking out for us and seeing politics that we are just starting to get familure with. It's sad that we pros have to always be looking over our shoulders for anti's and we can't just pose with an unloaded gun for fun without risking someone getting bent out of shape and wanting to take them all away.

May you and your new "life mate" make many happy memories together.
 
Who the hell cares what the anti's think anyway? I refuse to tailor my behaviour patterns on what some soccer mom or liberal will think. They want to see all of our guns gone anyways, it doesn't matter how we act. Nothing will appease them.

Do whatever the hell you want, so long as it's legal and safe. There's no law about holding an empty gun in your house. :rolleyes:
 
Phuck Me you guys are wound tight like a coiled spring. :rolleyes: I simply commented on the first thing that jumped out at me when I enlarged his pics.....sorry if safety is so important to me. I make a habit of not having the finger on the trigger until it's time to "send it" down range, and this is what I teach....you can never be too safe.....didn't figure it would degrade to a pissing contest with a bunch of grannies getting their panties in a knot. I simply housed my opinion......which ironically, was the same opnion of my 10 yr old daughter when I asked her what she thought was wrong in those pics.....she pointed it out to me in a very matter of fact manner....without all the WAAA...WAA...WAAA I'm reading here I might add. Please accept my humble apologies for pointing out what I percieve as wrong, but hey, you post the pics, you roll the dice, you take your chances I guess....each to their own....

For ####s sake use your head will ya. Finger on trigger on an unloaded firearm in your own house is NOT a big deal. If you think it is, I guess you never disassembled a Glock. LOL.

Have you ever tried to adjust the trigger pull on one of your rifles. I guess not.
How about dry fire practice.

Chill out man.
