My 25/06 AI!!!!!!:D I'm pumped, it finally arrived. It's built on a Ruger action, 26 inch stainless Shilen barrel, McMillan stock. I bought it as barreled action in a ramline stock. So as soon as I got it I pulled the stock and sent it to Rick at ATR to refinish the action as it was still wearing it's original blue and the normal finish on the barrel. He matte blued it to a nice matte black, bead blasted the barrel for a flat finish, bedded the unit into the McMillan stock and mounted the Nikkon Monarch 3.5-10x50 scope in new offset rings. It wasn't my first choice to have the offset rings, but the scope has such a long bell on the objective they were required. Now I just have to work on a load for it.......I'm hoping the Barnes 100 grain Tripple Shocks I've got will do what I'm wanting. I think the combination of bullet style, weight, and cartridge will be extremely nasty on deer:D :D :D

If I get time to come up with a good load for it she'll have to make an appearance at Haggisfest.;)

Nice rifle !

I should warn you however that BoonerBuck took first place in the sporting rifle competition at Haggisfest last year with a 5/8" - 5 shot group @ 100m with his .280 A-Bolt. You are going to have to really dial in that .25 to beat him next month. LoL

Yup, mag sporter profile, as for the twist, I can't say for sure, but I believe it's a 10.

That's one heck of a group, I doubt I'd get that good with the time I've got, Sounds like I may need to bring my Tikka 7mm mag, which I wasn't planning to do, even at that I think the best I've shot is a 1.5 inch 5 shot at 200, so that still wouldn't cut it:rolleyes: . I'm not about the competition anyway lol. I'll have to stick with that story shooting against somebody with that skill, or is he just lucky?:p LOL
