I am thinking of getting this Colt 1911 with a rail, had my eye on it for awhile. Wanted to know if anyone has one, what their experiences are with it. Also what style is this 80's or 70's? I googled it but could not find anything to say what model it is designed after. Also the only dealer that I have found that has it is wolverine so I dont know what it is worth. US sites have it for around $900-$1000 US Wolverines price is $1525.

It's a O1070RG, which is a Series 80 model, meaning it does has a firing pin block.

You can buy a new one in the states for $980. Pay Prophet River $350 to import it. Your cost is under $1400. Buy from Wolverine for $1525 + HST (15%) in the Maritimes and your cost is $1753. The math doesn't lie. Now, you do need patience for the importation process. Good luck with your decision.
