OK, you might not believe this, but try Parks Canada - they have one of the best collections of historical Canadian firearms anywhere, and they have a warehouse full of very, very nice stuff. You might be able to get the actual rifles carried during WW1. The report I heard was "friggin crates of Enfields and Rosses, all C broad arrow, all greased" this from a PC employee who had to help with an inventory in Winnipeg, I believe.
