Looking for 38-40 WCF

Hello All
I have a Colt New Service in 38-40. Does anyone have this ammo in stock in Canada. Being a revolver I need the lower pressure loads, not rifle ammo.

According to this site ... http://www.chuckhawks.com/38-40win.htm a minimum charge of 6.4 grains of Unique with a 180 grain cast lead bullet is good for a MV of 776 fps from a revolver or 1162 fps from a rifle.

Winchester Super X 38-40 Win 180Gr SP Ammunition has a MV of 1160 fps so I presume its already low velocity?

You could try Ellwood Epps too.
 
You should contact Rusty Wood Trading Company. They are in BC too. He sells ammo for antique lever guns , as well as does custom loading.

Thanks for the leads, I will try calling Gagnon this weekend. The potential shipping costs scare me a bit, but if that is all I can find, I will have to go for it.

I sent an email a few weeks ago to Rusty Wood, I did not even get a reply back. I may try to call if the shipping from Gagnon is too much.
 
Tyee Marine Fishing and Hunting in Courtenay, BC had a box of 38-40 in stock a few months ago. I'm almost certain it was the revolver ammo and not the rifle ammo. Worth a phone call.
