Seasons greetings to all,

Would like to try my hand at rolling my own 410 shot shells.
Wondering if anyone has tried Alliant Blue Dot in a 410 ?

I checked, they don't list it as a powder for the 410 in there data and no I cant find any published data on this.
I have spent the last 4 days going threw the reloading forums to see if I could find any info with no luck, (only on page 200 and still looking, I think I am permanently
crossed eyed now lol).

I would like to use Alliant 410 but I cant find any anywhere. I know there ae other powders I could use but I have Blue on hand that I have no use for, so I was wondering if it could be used.

Any info would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance.

Winchester 296 is one of the best to use in the .410. Hodgdon H110 is the same powder with a different name.

I have never heard of using Blue Dot in the ,410. Maybe check with on the reloading subform on the Shotgunworld website.

Lil' Gun is a powder that was designed exclusively for the 410 and delivers top performance. W296 and Alliant 2400 work well in a 410 as well. I have lots of 410 reloading data, PM me if interested.

I found one load, on shotgun world. Please confirm with the original source:

"on page 11 of the newest BPI catalog are some sample load data from their "Advantages" manual. Included is this one:
2.5" Fiocchi hull, Fio 616 primer, MG410 wad, 1/2 oz shot, 10 gr Blue Dot, providing 1200 fps at 9600 psi."
