Looking for .44 S*W load data for 300 Cast Lead Bullet.
Bit heavy but I like to try cast Gas checked 300 Grain Bullets in a .44 S&W Ruger Super Blackhawk Revolver with 7.5" Barrel.
Powders to rool a few testloads are, Herco,Red Dot,Blue Dot, Unique, Win 231, Win 760, IMR 4227,IMR 4198.
I don’t have load data for 300 Grain Cast Slugs, can anybody help out with some recipes.
Thanks

You are talking about 44 S&W Special right?

The 1996 version of “Modern Reloading by Richard LEE” lists a loading of 9.8 - 11.5 grains of H4227 for a 300 grain jacketed bullet. Unable to determine if IMR 4227 is the same as H4227.
I have enjoyed using 5.0 grains of Red Dot in most of my light cast 200 grain bullets up to 250 grain cast. 300 ain’t that far away.....

Thanks for all your replies.
Unfortunately I must have had a senior moment typing .44 S&W when I meant .44 Rem. Magnum.
Second mistake was I had the answer in my own Library in this case the Lyman Book “Cast Bullet Handbook 4th. Edition” where on page 275 the recipe for 300 grain cast Slugs is listed. If anybody looking for the recipe just shot me a PM with your own email address and I will email you a picture of the 300 Grain Recipe lineup.

Again my apologies and happy new year !
