Looking for .455 webley

Western metal had some and it sold quickly, was very expensive but they said they will be getting more in and the price will be more reasonable, contact them for a possible date! Sad that so many so called ammo companies don't stock the hard to get calibers, obviously the demand is there, so hats off to western for getting it done!

Wherever you can find it is a good place to buy it. If you find it cheaper, that's a better place to buy. Save your brass and reload. Lee sells a reloading die set. .45 Colt brass can be converted (needs the rim trimmed to fit) and there's a shop in Sudbury that sells that and cast bullets.

I have a Webley Mark VI and so far all it has been feed is cut down .45 colt cases. Don't have many because it's a lot of work to convert .45 colt to .455 webley. Looking forward to some ammo becoming available for purchase.

You can also work with 45 Auto Rim brass; it is perfect in every way except for the tiny fact of that wonky rim.

If you have a little lathe and a drillpress, it's not hard to make a hollow punch which will FLATTEN that Rim down flush to your work surface; after that it is an easy and quick job to thin the rims to spec.

Presto! You have perfect .455 Colt brass...... which works fine in any large-frame Webley.

Jethunter (on this forum) makes great bullets for these: nice and soft, won't crap up your bore.... and accurate.

Once you have everything, load up a batch (to 455 specs, mind you!) and go find a Tank to hurt! For stopping power, by the way, it scores 74 on the Hatcher Scale: ABOVE the fabled 45ACP.... and still comfortable to shoot!

its easy to buy actual .455 cases bullets and powder and reload. You dont need to cut cases and frik around...... I shoot two 455's. Send me a PM ill let you know where you can get cases + lead to reload and wont break your bank either!

I was in that Sudbury store yesterday and I swear I saw a few boxes of .455 Webley on the shelf. I don't remember what he was asking for them. Call up Shooter's Den -- I know he ships.

I messaged to Jerry at Mystic Precision and he can order it in, I am emailing for price, there is a discount for orders of 500 Pieces or more, I think if we order now, delivery would be in mid April, If price is right, this would be great!
